The valley of San Sebastián

The valley of San Sebastián is characterised by the typical architecture of the buildings and by their agricultural produce, which is based on the cultivation of vegetables and subtropical fruits like mangoes, avocados, passion fruit and citrus fruits. The friendly, simple people who live here still make the most authentic handicrafts on the island. In spite of newer means of communication, whistling still persists among the elderly of the area. In the valley you can see three enormous dams where frogs and water birds are living.

By car you reach in 15 minutes the Garajonay National Park which is unique for hiking. In San Sebastián you can find shops, restaurants and two beaches. Besides, the best local restaurants are situated in this valley. The baker passes every morning in the valley with warm self-baked bread.

All the casitas are rurally located; you can enjoy nature and silence and at the same moment observe the local agriculture life.
